This is one incredibly tasteful album. Bramblett, who garnered some attention during his stint with the Gregg Allman tour, is an accomplished songwriter, singer, keyboard player and saxophonist. But what stands out is his voice; one of the strongest and most soulful white voices I've heard. His songs are varied, mature and memorable; the production is superb, treating each song to its own texture and identity. The session men used, especially drummer Chris Parker and guitarists Hugh McCracken and Elliott Randall, are first-rate.
