Randall Bramblett's portrait joins a gallery of other legends of Georgia music by artist Jackie Dorsey displayed in Athens until Sept. 2023. Legendary Georgia Musicians in Watercolor featuring works was hosted at the Lyndon House Art Center. Twenty artists are represented including soul music legend Randall, William Bell, Civil Rights pioneer and Freedom singer Rutha Mae Harris, Big Boi of Outkast, Rolling Stones keyboardist Chuck Leavell, Emily Saliers and Amy Ray of Indigo Girls, singer/songwriter Brent Cobb, Mike Mills of R.E.M, Cindy Wilson of the B-52s, jazz trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, Mike Cooley of Drive-By Truckers and many others. The incomparable Bettye LaVette has recorded an album of just my songs (with some co-writes with Davis Causey)! Steve Jordan (super-producer, drummer currently with the Rolling Stones) recorded and produced all the tracks at Electric Lady Studios in NYC where I cut my first record, That Other Mile. Steve Winwood, John Mayer, Jon Batiste, Larry Campbell and many more great musicians play on the 11 cuts. I'll be able to share the full track listing soon, but her lead single out now is "Plan B." Needless to say, I'm thrilled and honored.

We're pleased to announce Randall Bramblett is one of 5 finalists for the Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year Award. The song recognized is "Vibrating Strings." The award, which carries a $1,000 cash prize, is named in honor of Vic Chesnutt, an internationally renowned singer-songwriter from Athens, and is presented by the Rotary Club of the Classic City of Athens. The Award show is April 9, and was to have been a live presentation, but postponed. There may be a live streamed event announced, watch this space.
